ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Reading and writing have been my passion since childhood, but when my father was diagnosed with ALS in 2006, they took a backseat as I focused on caring for him in his final days. After his passing, I met my husband on a book forum, and in 2010, I left Massachusetts for England to marry the love of my life. Together, we have three wonderful children, and three precocious fur babies.

Our son was diagnosed as non-verbal and high needs on the autism spectrum just before he turned three, which introduced us to a world of new challenges. It also made me realize that the struggles I had faced throughout my life were likely linked to undiagnosed autism and ADHD. Over the years, our son has shown us that just because someone cannot speak, it doesn’t mean they don’t have a voice. He gave me the inspiration and motivation I needed to go after my dreams, regardless of my limitations.

In 2023, I returned to writing, determined to turn my dream of becoming a published author into a reality. Eighteen months of Saturdays writing to the sound of two dozen tap shoes, another six months of editing, and countless days of querying later, I landed a publishing home with Cranthorpe Millner for my debut YA Dystopian, The Lottery.
